Dynamo 4-2-3 organic poultry manure fertiliser

Dynamo 4-2-3 organic poultry manure fertiliser for crop nutrition

NPK 4-2-3 | Organic Matter 75.6% | OMRI Listed | Organic Trust certified

SoilWorx Dynamo 4-2-3 is a poultry manure fertiliser and soil improver high in organic matter (75.6%), with a full range of trace elements. Our flagship organic crop nutrition pellet delivers balanced NPK with controlled release, feeding your crop through the growing season while building the long-term health and fertility of your soil.

What is Dynamo 4-2-3

Dynamo is manufactured from sustainably sourced poultry manure, heat-treated and sterilised at our production facility: the UK and Ireland’s largest organic fertiliser plant. This process eliminates pathogens, weed seeds and odour, producing a clean, consistent pellet that is easy to handle, store and spread with conventional equipment.

With an organic matter content of 75.6%, Dynamo delivers up to four times the nutrient density of standard compost. The balanced 4-2-3 NPK analysis provides nitrogen for vegetative growth, phosphorus for root development and potassium for crop quality and disease resistance. Beyond the headline NPK figures, Dynamo contains a full spectrum of secondary nutrients and trace elements including calcium, magnesium, sulphur, iron, manganese and zinc: elements that synthetic crop nutrition products typically lack.

As an organic fertiliser, Dynamo releases nutrients gradually as soil microbes break down the organic matter. This controlled release matches crop demand more closely than soluble mineral fertilisers, reducing the risk of nutrient leaching and providing sustained nutrition from application through to harvest.

Key benefits

  • 75.6% organic matter: builds soil structure, water-holding capacity and microbial activity with every application
  • Balanced 4-2-3 NPK: complete nutrition in a single product; no need to blend multiple inputs
  • Full trace element profile: calcium, magnesium, sulphur, iron, manganese, zinc and more
  • Controlled release: nutrients mineralise gradually, matching crop demand and reducing leaching risk
  • OMRI Listed and Organic Trust certified: approved for use in certified organic farming systems
  • Heat-treated and sterilised: pathogen-free, weed-seed-free, low odour
  • Consistent pellet quality: even spreading with standard disc, pneumatic or belt spreaders
  • 4x nutrient density vs compost: lower application rates mean fewer passes, lower fuel costs, less compaction

Application guidance

When to Apply

Apply Dynamo as a base dressing at or shortly before sowing. The controlled-release profile means nutrients become available as your crop establishes and root systems develop. For grassland, apply in early spring (February–March) ahead of the main growing season, or in autumn to support root development over winter.

Application Rates

Typical application rates range from 500 to 750 kg per ha depending on crop, soil type and existing nutrient status. For precise recommendations based on your soil analysis, use our Fertiliser Calculator or speak to your advisor.

How to Apply

Dynamo crop nutrition pellets are compatible with all standard fertiliser spreading equipment including spinning disc, pneumatic and belt spreaders. The consistent pellet size and density ensure even distribution at standard working widths. Incorporate into the seedbed where possible for maximum root contact.

Suitable crops & systems

Dynamo 4-2-3 is a versatile, all-round fertiliser suitable for:

  • Arable crops: Cereals, oilseed rape, pulses, combinable crops
  • Grassland: Permanent pasture, leys, silage ground
  • Horticulture: Field vegetables, protected crops, soft fruit
  • Mixed farming: Rotational systems where soil health underpins long-term productivity
  • Organic systems: Certified organic arable, livestock and horticultural holdings

Certifications & standards

Dynamo 4-2-3 holds dual certification:

  • OMRI Listed: verified by the Organic Materials Review Institute for use in organic production systems worldwide
  • Organic Trust certified: approved by Organic Trust, Ireland’s organic certification body, for use in certified organic farming

These certifications provide assurance that every ingredient and manufacturing process meets the rigorous standards required for organic agriculture.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on your crop’s primary nutrient requirement. Dynamo 4-2-3 is the best all-round choice for balanced nutrition across most crops. If your crop demands high potassium (potatoes, root vegetables), consider K-Boost 3-2-17. For high nitrogen demand (cereals, grassland), look at N-Boost 8-2-2. A soil test is the most reliable starting point: use our Fertiliser Calculator for tailored guidance.

Dynamo is most effective when applied at sowing as a base dressing, typically in spring for spring-sown crops or autumn for winter-sown cereals and cover crops. For grassland, early spring application (February–April) aligns nutrient release with peak grass growth. Autumn applications are also beneficial for building soil organic matter ahead of winter where there is an agronomic need.

Raw chicken manure carries risks: high pathogen load, viable weed seeds, inconsistent nutrient content, strong odour, and potential for nitrogen burn if over-applied. SoilWorx Dynamo eliminates these disadvantages through industrial heat treatment and sterilisation. The result is a pathogen-free, weed-seed-free, low-odour pellet with a guaranteed, consistent NPK analysis.

Yes. Dynamo 4-2-3 is both OMRI Listed and Organic Trust certified, making it approved for use in certified organic farming systems. Always verify with your own certifying body before use, as certification requirements can vary between schemes.

Synthetic fertilisers deliver nutrients in immediately soluble form, which can increase leaching risk and does nothing for soil health. Dynamo’s crop nutrition approach (75.6% organic matter) actively builds soil structure, water-holding capacity and microbial life with every application. The controlled-release profile reduces nutrient losses. Over successive seasons, you build a more resilient, productive soil that requires fewer inputs: lowering your cost per tonne of crop produced.
