Potatoes have a high nutrient demand over a relatively short period and are particularly sensitive to early season nutrient availability. Rapid canopy development and tuber initiation depend on a consistent nitrogen supply.

SoilWorx K-Boost 3-1-15 provides nitrogen gradually through mineralisation of the organic portion. This extended-release profile can help maintain nutrient supply during peak demand and reduce the risk of late-season deficiency, whilst the high potash blend supports the high uptake in the potassium nutrient.

Phosphate efficiency is also enhanced. Organic acids produced during decomposition can improve phosphate availability in soils where fixation limits uptake. For potatoes, this supports root development and early tuber formation.

In addition, improvements in soil structure and moisture retention are particularly valuable for tuber bulking, where consistent soil moisture is critical for yield and skin finish.
